Future Updates
It has been one year since I uploaded the first version of High Roll Warriors. While I planned to roll out updates consistently as I'm building the game, a lot of things got in the way of releasing v0.4. Before I paused working on the project, I was able to add terrain, pathfinding, and others. Here's what v0.4 would have looked like.
3 months ago, I finally had enough time to continue the project. In the months since I stopped working on the project, I learned to use structs and thought it would be perfect for this game because it would make it easier for me to add more content in the future. Since I would have to restructure my code to utilize structs effectively, I decided to just start from scratch and just carry over the assets and some bits of code.
I redesigned the whole interface and made it more fit for wide screens. I'm constantly adding features from v0.4 and also new ones but I don't have a playable version at the moment. Here's a preview of what I have so far.
I'm still experimenting with vision, which is important for one of the classes' abilities. When I'm done working on that class, I will start working on the enemy behavior and after that, I'll have a working level. I think I still have a long way to go before I can release a playable version again but I'll be adding features constantly until then.
